I was fortunate enough to have a week back in September to immerse myself in nature. It is truly great for the mind, body and soul. Connecting with nature, whether for a long hike, a picnic or just a quick walk on a local trail can help to calm the mind, improve mood, release stress, lower cortisol levels, reduce blood pressure and improve the immune system. It’s something I recommend to all of my patients! Healthier body = healthier mind, healthier mind = healthier body.
